Three Cheers for Summer! Hope you’re having a great one!
We have a really cool tasting line-up for this Saturday, so we had to write and tell you about it. New, rare and really good drinks will be served up for you to taste Saturday from 12 noon to 10pm. And it’s free, as always! Stop in to try:
Maker’s 46
A new super-premium Bourbon from the folks at Maker’s Mark. It takes a long time to make a new bourbon – all those years of barrel-aging and such, so this is big news. To make 46, they take regular Makers barrels, pop them open and add some specially treated barrel staves, then close it back up and age it some more. The result is a sweeter, caramel taste that is oh so smooth. They are just ramping up production, so there is only a small allocation available right now. But it’s a unique taste that is worth the money.
A new brand we’ve added – in Cabernet and Merlot – that is a great value for its price of $12.99. It’s produced by a small company in California called “The Other Guys” who don’t actually grow any grapes. Instead, they scour the wholesale market and buy great crops for the best price possible. This lets them produce better wine at a lower price, which is why they call this one “Pennywise”.
“Hooray, Beer!” Or rather, “Hooray, Light Beer!” The laid-back islanders in Jamaica have gotten on board the lower calorie train and it’s stopping by here. Can’t afford a summer vacation to Jamaica? Don’t worry, be happy, with some Jamaican beer. Most people think this tastes a lot like regular Red Stripe, except now it’s light. Try it and see what you think. At only $7.99, you can’t go wrong.
Hope to see you Saturday!
Cheers…
